Loose Poetry

This is a selection of poems I have written that don’t fall into a collection. Some of these are new and I have not decided what my next collection is going to be about. Some of these are older, going back as far as 2000. And some of these are poems that I liked but didn’t fit into the collection I was working on at the time. They are not meant to be read in any particular order, but I floated my favorites up toward the top of the list.

I am grateful that my poem “Viral” was in the College of Lake County’s “Fear No Art” virtual show in May of 2021. It was interesting, adding graphic design and video editing for a different visual element in a virtual show.

Willhelmine’s Tribute was written as a part of the “Haunting of Hebron Library” a project organized by Atrocious Poets in October of 2021.

“Leave Me the Way My Shadow Leaves Me” and “DNA” were part of L-Theory Dance Collective shows in 2023. I was fortunate to be given the opportunity to perform. Although they are primarily dance concerts, they also feature spoken word and live music, and it’s always cool to see what everyone has come up with.
