Until it crystallizes, that this waiting room is my destination,
an eternity of Kenny G, grinding against the sound of my own thoughts.

10/08/23 – You Have Your Nine Lives, We Have But the One

I used to hate the way our cat scratched at the door just as we were fading off to sleep.

Until the day she mysteriously disappeared, and the scratching, only grew louder.

It continued as fan fiction but I wouldn’t bother, those volumes got pretty implausible and the narrative falls apart.
